Škoda Singapore launches award-winning Enyaq e-SUV range at Škoda Electric City

Singapore, 10 May 2024 – Škoda is pleased to announce the launch of sales for the highly-anticipated, award-winning Enyaq range. Prospective buyers can now secure their units, with prices for the Enyaq, Enyaq Coupé and Enyaq Coupé RS starting from $222,900, $235,900 and $255,900 respectively. For those who want to experience them firsthand, the Enyaq range will be on display at the Škoda Electric City auto festival at 26 Leng Kee Road from 11 – 12 May 2024.

Škoda's first purpose-built EV with impressive range and performance

The Enyaq is the first Škoda production model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular electric car platform, built at Czech automobile manufacturer’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. With its striking styling, spacious interior, high-quality materials and exceptional comfort, it is perfect for city travel and long hauls alike.

The Enyaq wows with an impressive range of up to 565 kilometers (WLTP) on a single charge, complemented by rapid charging capabilities that elevate the battery charge from 10% - 80% in28 minutes. The Coupé variant, distinguished by its sleek, aerodynamic design featuring a sloping rear body, extends this range to 576 kilometers (WLTP), perfectly meeting the demands of urban commutes and long-distance journeys alike. With a rear axle electric motor delivering a maximum output of up to 210 kW, both versions accelerate swiftly from nought to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds.

Plenty of space, emotive design and Crystal Face highlight

One standout feature of both the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé is the Crystal Face, serving as a literal highlight: 131 LEDs illuminate the vertical ribs of the striking Škoda grille, while a horizontal light strip adds to the car’s stunning aesthetic. Coupled with the daytime running lights and the LED modules of the full LED Matrix headlights, the illuminated grille creates a welcoming display. The Enyaq stands out in its class as the sole vehicle offering a fully illuminated front grille, meticulously designed with intricate details. Complementing this are the large 20-inch wheels, which enhance the overall attractive appearance of the model line.

Within, a spacious and comfortable interior crafted from premium materials, is enhanced by a panoramic roof, expanding the sense of space, along with an impressive cargo capacity of 585 litres (570 litres for the Enyaq Coupé).

Luxury, comfort, and connectivity redefined

The Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé offer a comfortable driving experience, featuring premium amenities tailored to elevate comfort and connectivity. In addition to the leather multifunction steering wheel (racier Sportline leather multifunction steering wheel for the Enyaq Coupé), equipped with recuperation paddles for enhanced control, the Enyaq range boasts Škoda‘s 'Climatronic' triple-zone air conditioning with rear control, ensuring the individualised comfort of all occupants regardless of weather conditions.

For added warmth during colder days, heated front and rear seats provide extra comfort. As standard, the Enyaq is available with Škoda’s 'Lounge' design selection seats upholstered in grey microfibre and leather. In line with its dynamic design, the Enyaq Coupé showcases Škoda's Sportline design selection, boasting carbon décor accents and a black headliner that elevate the interior ambiance. Complemented by interior ambient LED lighting and a roll-up sunshade for rear side windows, the Enyaq model line ensures an unparalleled driving experience, combining comfort and convenience seamlessly.

To add the finishing touch, both variants come equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment display boasting touch slider functionality, intuitive gestures, and seamless voice control. This ensures effortless access to favourite apps via SmartLink, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Wireless smartphone charging ensures devices stay powered conveniently, while the 12-speaker 'Canton' sound system delivers premium audio quality.

For the driver's convenience, the Virtual Cockpit displays essential information, assist systems, driving data, and multimedia, alongside an augmented reality head-up display for enhanced visibility – the first Škoda to offer this feature. An upper field with augmented reality is added to the data displayed on speed and assist system. Adaptive Lane Assist (the longitudinal highlighting of the lane) and lateral lines indicating the distance from the traffic ahead are projected into the driver’s field of vision.

Top safety rating and advanced features

The Enyaq range prioritises safety with a comprehensive suite of features, boasting a prestigious five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Standard protections include front driver and passenger airbags, as well as front and rear side and curtain airbags, to safeguard occupants in case of a collision. Additionally, the Enyaq introduces the Travel Assist feature, which combines Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Assist to assist in maintaining the vehicle's position within the lane. When activated, Travel Assist provides steering assistance, braking, and acceleration support, enhancing driver confidence on the road.

Further enhancing safety are features like Front Assist with braking reaction to vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, Lane Assist, Side Assist, and a rear-view camera equipped with Park Distance Control (PDC) for heightened awareness. Advanced technologies including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a Driver Alert System contribute to a safer driving experience, while convenience features such as an electric tailgate with Virtual Pedal and drive mode select ensure a secure and comfortable journey for all passengers.

To enhance driving performance, the Enyaq Coupé comes further equipped with sport suspension and progressive steering. At lower speeds, such as when parking or manoeuvring in tight spaces, the steering becomes more direct, requiring fewer turns of the steering wheel. At higher speeds, the steering becomes less sensitive, providing better stability and control for highway driving.

Enyaq Coupé RS: Sporty, powerful, and all-electric

Also available for purchase is the sporty Enyaq Coupé RS with racier 21-inch wheels. Equipped with two electric motors – one on the front and another on the rear axle – and all-wheel drive, it boasts a total system output of 250 kW, and an impressive range of up to 547 km (WLTP combined). Accelerating from nought to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, it outpaces other Enyaq models by 1.2 seconds.

Inside, the RS features the 'RS Lounge' design selection with carbon décor and black headliner, complemented by sports seats upholstered in black microfibre/leather. With standard sports suspension, progressive steering, and all-wheel drive, the Enyaq Coupé RS offers excellent handling while providing generous space for up to five people, making it the ideal choice for sporty everyday driving.

Škoda has set two official world ice drift records with the Enyaq RS. The records for the ’Longest Continuous Vehicle Drift on Ice’ and the ‘Longest Continuous Vehicle Drift on Ice (electric car)’, have been verified by Guinness World Records. They were set by motoring journalist Richard Meaden on a circular track measuring 188.496 metres in circumference on the frozen Stortjärnen lake near Östersund, Sweden. A total of 18 hours of drifting were put in across the full five days in sub-zero temperatures to achieve the perfect drift.
